Often imitated but never surpassed, Leica Geosystems Laser Trackers have been at the forefront of laser tracking technology for nearly two decades. These portable coordinate measuring machines have enabled companies around the world to deliver innovative products, achieve unheard-of tolerances, substantially lower manufacturing costs and increase productivity well beyond their expectations.
A laser tracker from Leica Geosystems is a portable measurement system that relies on a laser beam to accurately measure and inspect in a radial volume of up to 320 m [1050 ft]. Two models are available: The Leica Absolute Tracker AT402 follows a small mirrored sphere, also known as reflector, whereas the Leica Absolute Tracker AT901 can also track a Leica T-Probe, a hand-held “Walk-Around” wireless contact probe; or a Leica T-Scan, a contactless high-speed laser scanner. Which measurement method you should use, will depend on your application.
From prototyping and reverse engineering to tooling inspection and part mating, from automotive to aerospace and everything in-between, our customer list reads like a “Who’s Who” of the world’s most successful enterprises – yet our equipment is just at home in small and medium-size companies. With the introduction of the world’s first laser tracker in 1991, we revolutionized high-accuracy inspection as the world knew it. With the Leica Absolute Tracker product family we have done it again.
The Leica Absolute Tracker AT402 is the most portable 3D Absolute Tracker for traditional inspection tasks or for fully guided measurement processes. It is able to be powered by its own internal battery and is able to work in the most demanding environment, yet maintains the highest level of precision and the largest ever work envelope. The AT402 features increased ruggedness and extended battery life. more
The Leica Absolute Tracker AT901 is now equipped with PowerLock. This active vision technology automatically locks onto any moving target without user intervention. By utilizing a vision system built into the Leica Absolute Tracker AT901 the sensor can now determine where a target is without the need for the laser beam to be locked on. more
The Leica B-Probe is a handheld and battery-powered point probing device made for the Leica Absolute Tracker AT402, Hexagon Metrology‘s most portable laser tracker. Due to its unique portability, small footprint and wireless operation, it can measure where neither 3D laser trackers nor traditional optical probing systems can reach. Leica T-Probe, the high-performance “Walk-Around“ solution has become a high-performance industry standard with high point-acquisition rate, automatic stylus recognition and individually assignable multi-function buttons. more
Leica T-Scan solutions from Hexagon Metrology are the only mature-technology industrial laser scanners for large scale measurements of up to 50m (Ø). Combined with a Leica Absolute Laser Tracker, Leica T-Scan solutions enable operators to gather millions of points quickly on virtually any surface without special preparation. more
Leica T-Mac (Tracker-Machine control sensor), the next-generation 6DoF tracking device for automated applications, answers the needs of a growing number of Leica Geosystems customers who have either modified the existing Leica T-Probe for automated measurement applications or have expressed interest in doing so. more
Leica T-Probe, the “Walk-Around” armless wireless device for probing of hidden, hard-to-reach points and measuring of up to 9 cars in one setup with minimal setup times, sets new standards by increasing accuracy, offering a ten-fold increase in point acquisition rate and providing user-assignable multi-function buttons. more
